🥇Wyrm Tribute

The Wyrm Tribute system is the backbone of Calamity’s Pre-Season (and future Seasons) economy, monetization, and rewards.

It creates a controlled and fair gold distribution system inside the game — tied to player performance — with fixed and transparent emission.

It also establishes a fixed Gold-to-$ ratio, giving real value to in-game assets and economy.

Gold Supply & Emission

  • Gold Standard: Every Gold in the game is backed by real crypto assets. For example: 500 Gold = $1.

  • No Inflation: Gold cannot simply be printed — it only enters the game when players:

    • Buy Gold through the website (for $).

  • No Platform Fees: When players buy Gold, Calamity takes no direct $ fees.

  • Buying Gold: Players can buy Gold directly ($) — 100% goes to their in-game inventory.

  • Gold Usage:

    • Purchase extra dungeon time and buffs

    • Trade on the Auction House

    • Wagers for duels and dice games

    • Fishing

    • Buy unique cosmetic NFTs

  • Cash-out: At the end of the Season, players can claim $ on-chain based on their final Gold balances.

  • Calamity Team Treasury:

    • Calamity earns from in-game activity, not $ sales:

      • Small fees on Auction House trades

      • Fees from social mechanics using Gold

      • 10% Gold fee on extra dungeon time purchases

      • 100% of Gold used to buy exclusive cosmetic NFTs

    • The Gold the team collects is paid out just like players — tied to game economy activity — aligning incentives.

Wyrm Tribute Gold Distribution

  • The Wyrm Tribute system distributes Gold daily from the prize pool based on dungeon performance.

  • Only players with a Season Pass can earn Gold from Wyrm Tribute.

  • Pass holders earn Wyrm Shards by playing dungeons:

    • Higher dungeon difficulty → more Wyrm Shards earned.

  • Daily Distribution: Gold is distributed pro-rata based on each player’s share of Wyrm Shards earned that day — fixed Gold emission per day — scaled by performance.

  • Additional Playtime: Players can buy extra dungeon time (+1 hour) using Gold.

    • The price increases with each additional purchase — encouraging players to progress to higher difficulties to balance increasing costs.

How the Wyrm Tribute Pool Grows

  • The team bootstraps the pool with 1,000,000 Gold ($2,000).

  • Each Season Pass purchase ($4) adds:

    • 2000 Gold → Wyrm Tribute pool

  • Additional dungeon time purchases:

    • 90% of the Gold spent goes to the Wyrm Tribute pool.

  • As more players join and spend Gold → the pool grows → larger rewards for all active players.
